Jupiter Systems does not have a training catalog or formal schedule. In general, we train 'on request'. That is, when a customer such as yourself requires and requests training.
Training is held at our Hayward, CA Facility in the San Francisco Bay Area.
We require that you request training on-line, using our Training Request Form. This form is directed to all of the people in the contact list below). There are several things that we need to know:
How many people are you scheduling training?
list of names and contact info would be helpful as we like to send an e-mail to attendees. In general we prefer to have at least two (2) people in a training session.
Please let us know what kind of training you require, and how we can best serve your training needs.
When would you like to schedule the training session? (subject to availability)
Training is handled by our Technical Support Department. In most cases the Tech Support Supervisor will be conducting your training. Training sessions are two days consisting of the following:
Day one is focused on hardware -
Hardware
System Concepts
With emphasis on all board types
System Configuration
Hardware Installation
Module Replacement
Day two is focused on software -
System Overview
Operation
Installations
VirtualScreen
System Configuration
Software Installation - you will do one on your own work station and laptop.
LiveVideo
RGB Capture
ControlPoint
RemoteCursor
Sessions
Standard training sessions consist of a two-day program, held on Tuesday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Thursday. If you require a special training session either in length of the session, or material content, please contact Jupiter Systems about your needs for training. Special Sales training is available for Dealers if required - requirements must be made in advance for scheduling a third day for this training. John Stark will handle these sessions.
Sessions are geared to groups of up to 6 people.
Training sessions start promptly at 8:00 AM and run to about 3:00 PM (unless otherwise arranged). Dress is comfortable and no ties are required. A lunch break will be taken around noon. Lunch is provided on-site as part of the training session.
Coming Soon -
Training is geared toward a hands-on approach. You will work at your own workstation connected to a Fusion 940 System that will be used both as a wall controller receiving training information from the host, and as a workstation to control the display wall using the ControlPoint client software. You will do a complete installation of the Galileo Software on your workstation, and you will use it to control the display wall. You will also install the client software on your laptop and use that to control the display wall.
Scheduling
Scheduling is started by the first and second date choices that you enter on the Request for Training Form. Further scheduling adjustments will be by e-mail. You will receive a request for confirmation message and a listing of available dates closest to your choices if your dates are not available. All cancellations or schedule changes must be made at least 5 business days prior to the scheduled training date.
Due to the high number of requests for training sessions at Jupiter Systems, it is advised that training requests be made as early as possible to insure scheduling and confirmation of your requested dates. Your session can NOT be confirmed for your requested dates until Jupiter receives a confirmation e-mail from you (i.e. receives a reply to the request for confirmation message). It is most important that you get this confirmation back to us as soon a possible. In all cases, scheduling will be done on a first-come first-served basis. Jupiter will endeavor to do its best to honor all requests in a timely manner, but due to the intensity of preparation for training, we require the following: Scheduled requests must be made at least 2 weeks (10 working days) in advance of the requested dates. Special requests and dates (see Sessions above) must also be received prior to the stated 2 week notice to allow for scheduling and special preparations.
Materials
All training materials are provided. Each trainee receives a Jupiter Fusion System Manual and is encouraged to make notes in these manuals as needed. Training is conducted in a private room with a complete Wall Controller System and display wall. Systems are available for viewing and examination. Due to similarities and availability of hardware, all models may not be represented.
We suggest that you bring your laptop to your training session. You will receive a copy of the latest release of Galileo on CD which you will use to install the ControlPoint client software on your laptop.
